7 Day Casual Explorer

July to Late August

The 7-day Casual Explorer will give you a first taste of what heli hiking means: alighting on various ridges, soaring down to the blue eyes of little lakes, exploring mountain ranges on foot, camping amongst wildflowers, prospecting for fossils, being amazed by geological oddities, enjoying lunch in the solitude of mountains, then following the rushing waters of a glacial melt stream on your day hike up to the glacier itself. You are likely to spot your first game, Dall sheep on the hill side, two big rams hiding in a tangle of alpine fir, or a lonely caribou on a lonely ridge in the immensity of endless mountain ranges.

12 Day Solitude Enthusiast

July to Late August

Our 12-day heli hiking trip into the South Nahanni ranges is the ultimate excursion for the solitude enthusiast. Enjoy these endless, empty mountains like the first explorer, alone. There are no human traces in this country. Our helicopter will soar with you into the skies of untouched, northern eternity and will deposit you at lonely wilderness places that haven’t seen men but boast the ancient paths of caribou and the ridgeline trails of Dall sheep. 12 days give us lots of time to fly and hike and explore, take photos, track game, spend whole days in the best fossil canyons of the area, stop in and see fantastic sites of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of South Nahanni National Park Reserve, hike up to dirty glaciers and blue ice and lakes like turquoise jewels. This is truly a trip of a lifetime. No chance of you ever forgetting any moment of it.
